Position Description
XPRIZE offers a meaningful part-time, remote, summer internship program spanning from June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025 to undergraduate or graduate students looking to gain work experience in an exciting non-profit organization. Interns will participate in virtual social activities with their cohort, be provided with learning and professional development opportunities, and present a final research project to their department.
XPRIZE Healthspan is a groundbreaking 7-year, $101 million global competition aimed at revolutionizing the approach towards human aging. Unlike traditional medicine that primarily focuses on treating symptoms post-development, XPRIZE Healthspan seeks to proactively enhance healthspan by addressing the root causes of age-related decline. The initiative aims to develop accessible therapeutics that not only extend human lifespan but also improve the overall quality of life during later years. Successful trials in this competition will demonstrate the feasibility of enhancing health as individuals age, paving the way for transformative advancements in aging research and healthcare.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join the XPRIZE Healthspan team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to this groundbreaking initiative by supporting various aspects of the competition and its related activities. Responsibilities:
- Research and Analysis: Conducting research on aging-related topics, emerging technologies, and healthcare innovations to support the development of competition resources and strategies. Assist with research projects by gathering data, analyzing trends, generating reports, and presenting your findings to support decision-making processes for the Healthspan prize.
- Communication and Outreach: Review industry publications, attend webinars, and participate in relevant workshops to stay informed about the latest industry trends. Support slack and email communications to teams registered in the competition.
- Administrative Support: Providing logistical and administrative support for meetings, events, and other program activities, including scheduling, coordination, and documentation.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with team members, external partners, and stakeholders across various sectors to facilitate knowledge sharing, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative initiatives.
- Continuous Learning: Review industry publications, attend webinars, and participate in relevant workshops to stay informed about the latest industry trends
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in aging research, healthcare innovation, and public health
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong team player mentality
- Familiarity with data analysis tools/software is a plus
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program or higher in a related field (e.g., biology, biomedical sciences, public health, healthcare administration, etc.)
- Availability to work from 8:00am-12:00pm PDT on Mondays, and 9:00am-1:00pm PDT Tuesday-Friday for the duration of the 10-week program

The anticipated compensation for this position is $18/hour to $22/hour. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience for the role, level of education attained, and certifications and/or other licenses held. XPRIZE is a remote-first environment.
