POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Partnerships & Impact, the CRM & Data Insights Director will be at the forefront of driving innovation and impact in solving the world's most critical challenges through data collection and analytics. You will play a pivotal role in defining our data collection strategy and frameworks; shaping our products, including the website, external portals, and competitor portals, to ensure efficient and user-friendly data collection while optimizing data analysis and reporting capabilities. By leveraging your business acumen, technology expertise, and process mapping skills, you will facilitate the seamless gathering, visualization, and analysis of data from teams, team members, solutions, and business objectives. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our prize competitions, empowering us to make data-driven decisions and achieve meaningful global impact.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Collection Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand the intricacies of data collection needs for competitions, teams, and solutions to best quantify and demonstrate XPRIZE’s impact on the world. Develop a comprehensive data collection strategy to gather the most relevant and actionable insights.
  • Product Enhancement: Utilize your business acumen and technology expertise to drive the enhancement of our impact oriented platforms and programs, ensuring streamlined data collection processes and a user-friendly experience for participants.
  • Process Mapping and Visualization: Employ process mapping best practices and visualization tools to create clear and concise requirements and manuals for key data collection processes and workflows.
  • Data Architecture: Oversee the design and implementation of a robust data architecture that enables seamless data capture, storage, and management, integrating with platforms like LinkedIn, Salesforce, etc., while aligning with data privacy and security standards.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Develop and implement data analysis frameworks, creating impactful Power BI dashboards and interactive Salesforce reports for real-time insights, thereby enabling data-driven decision-making for stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse teams, including Partnerships, Impact, Prize, Design, Information Technology, and Marketing, to align data needs, share insights, and inform product enhancements.
  • User Research: Conduct user research to gather feedback from participants and stakeholders, using insights to continually improve data collection processes and tools.
  • Data Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical data usage practices throughout the data collection and analysis process.
  • Data Insights and Recommendations: Derive actionable insights from collected data and provide recommendations to leadership to optimize competition effectiveness and maximize global impact.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with CRM/PRM Systems: Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce architecture and development, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing partnership relationship management (PRM) systems. Must be able to leverage Salesforce to streamline partner recruitment, engagement, and tracking.
  • A definite plus: certified in Salesforce Platform App Builder as well as Salesforce Platform Developer I, preferably coinciding with Salesforce Platform Developer II or comparable work experience (5-7 years of work experience with Salesforce).  
  • Data Management in Salesforce: Experience in managing complex data sets within Salesforce, including developing custom fields, reports, and dashboards that are specifically tailored to partnership management needs.
  • Advanced Power BI Proficiency: Must have advanced skills in Power BI, including data visualization, report creation, and dashboard development, with the ability to translate complex data sets into actionable insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree (preferred) in Information Systems, Product Development, Computer Science, Data Science, Research Methodology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product management, data analytics, or data-driven product development, preferably in a technology-driven organization.
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, data visualization, and technology utilization to drive data-related product improvements.
  • Proficient with Agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Skilled in applied research methodology, data architecture, and governance, with a strong quantitative/analytical background and experience in program evaluation and measurement.
  • Extensive experience managing (and ideally designing) rigorous mixed-methods studies, utilizing various data collection approaches to gather comprehensive insights.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing survey tools and methods to capture meaningful data from diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and architect databases, oversee data integrations, and collaborate with IT and Product Development teams to collect, synthesize, and dashboard real-time data.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret complex datasets and present findings in clear and actionable impact reports.
  • Active participation in domain conferences and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in data science and impact measurement.
  • Ability to serve as an impact expert to internal and external stakeholders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to enhance impact initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience quantifying and articulating impact associated with non-profit organizations a plus.


The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually and may also qualify for an annual incentive.  This role is eligible for our extensive benefits package and generous paid time off including vacation, sick, and holidays.  The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience for the role, level of education attained, and certifications and/or other licenses held.  XPRIZE is a remote-first environment.
