ROLE SUMMARY:
XPRIZE is looking for an experienced front-end/user-experience developer. You are someone who has designed and built intuitive user interfaces for cloud and web-based applications. You want to make a positive impact on the world. You can translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications. From your past experiences, you can demonstrate a deep understanding of agile development practices and ability to work remotely with an agile team. You improve your skill set through self-initiated learning, feedback, and constructive criticism. You are also a professional who can work with people from front-line to C-Suite, and demonstrate strengths with written and oral communication, and the ability to communicate collaboratively in front of a whiteboard. You know how to explain highly technical concepts and information in a simple, straightforward way that non-technical people will understand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing and developing high quality applications using web technologies.
- Creating intuitive and interactive user experiences for new and existing applications.
- Applying the very best technical agile patterns and practices when building custom software solutions.
- Collaborating frequently with stakeholders to build software solutions that add the most value to them.
- Working with a technical lead and team on complex tasks and projects - many unique to our organization.
- Maintaining open and professional communication with team members, peers, and customers. Openly listen to others and confirm understanding to ensure everyone is on the same page.
- Proactively looking for ways to use non-customer time for personal training, internal projects, and administrative tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ yrs. professional experience using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript.
- 2+ yrs. professional experience using Angular 8+ or React.
- (Preferred) 1+ yrs. professional experience using C# and .NET.
- Professional experience using 1 or more UX design tools. (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)
- Professional experience as a front-end software developer or full-stack developer with strong front-end skills.
- Team player that understands how your own work is important to the team's success.
- Ability to multitask across different projects.
- Good knowledge of Scrum methodologies and practices.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented design, patterns, and practices.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- Desire to constantly learn and share new knowledge.
