Position Description

The Manager, Partnerships & Impact, will play a crucial role in managing and expanding XPRIZE’s ecosystem of partnerships and impact initiatives. Reporting to the SVP, the ideal candidate will oversee strategic planning, implementation, and assessment of partnerships across up to five prizes. This role demands a rigorous, research-driven approach, utilizing advanced methodologies and measurement tools to comprehensively assess the impact of competitions. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing robust data analysis frameworks that not only quantify outcomes but also ensure strategic alignment with XPRIZE’s mission and long-term goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Impact Framework Development: Lead the creation and refinement of tailored impact frameworks for each prize program, ensuring they align with XPRIZE’s overarching goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to integrate these frameworks into program design and execution.
  • Data Analysis & Measurement: Develop comprehensive data analysis strategies and survey tools to assess the effectiveness of XPRIZE programs. Create and manage KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems to track progress, measure outcomes, and provide actionable insights.
  • Research & Reporting: Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate prize initiatives’ impact. Produce detailed, data-driven reports and presentations to communicate findings and demonstrate value to stakeholders, funders, and partners.
  • Partnership Development: Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new strategic partnerships, leading them from initial engagement to signed agreements that support XPRIZE’s goals. Collaborate with ecosystem partners, including corporations, foundations, government entities, and other organizations, to co-create partnership strategies tailored to specific prizes, driving program success and long-term impact.
  • Operational Efficiency & Strategic Support: Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, IT, and Prize Operations, to ensure seamless delivery of partnership initiatives, impact imperatives and reporting. Assist in the strategic planning for the Partnerships & Impact department, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Support for Donors and Sponsors: Work with the Advancement team to articulate XPRIZE’s impact, alumni activities, and ecosystem engagements to donors and sponsors. Identify opportunities where Partnerships & Impact programs can enhance fundraising efforts.
 

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in partnerships, impact measurement, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in building and managing partner ecosystems, particularly within fast-paced, mission-driven organizations.
  • Advanced experience using Salesforce for partnership or relationship recruiting and management.
  • Experience in participating in trade shows and conferences, including scouting, networking, and speaking engagements, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data using tools like Excel, SQL, Python, R, or SAS, preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in independently securing and formalizing partnership agreements, including both financial and in-kind contributions.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modeling to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights, preferred.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc to create clear and compelling visual representations of data for stakeholders.
  • ​​Ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to develop and implement solutions based on data-driven evidence.
  • Proven track record in impact measurement, data analysis, and reporting methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage complex initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging senior-level external partners and internal teams.
  • Strategic thinker and planner with a collaborative approach and a commitment to achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Comfort in a dynamic environment where priorities evolve rapidly.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 and may also qualify for an annual incentive. This role is eligible for our extensive benefits package and generous paid time off including vacation, sick, and holidays. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience for the role, level of education attained, and certifications and/or other licenses held. XPRIZE is a remote-first environment.
